Level Up at Your Library (ages 0-4)

?Welcome to Portland Library's 2025 Summer Reading program, Level Up at Your Library!

This program was created for kids ages 0-4 to to encourage lifelong reading habits.

How It Works

1) Pick up a reading log at the library or track your reading here or on the ReadSquared app.

2) Track your reading starting on June 17.

3) Log every day that you read for 20 minutes or more. Earn charms and other prizes every time you reach 5 days of reading.

VISIT THE LIBRARY TO PICK UP YOUR GAME BOARD.

START LOGGING THE MINUTES YOU READ ON JUNE 17.

FOR EVERY 5 DAYS THAT YOU READ 20 MINUTES OR MORE, YOu WILL RECEIVE A SMALL PRIZE.

LOGGING CAN BE DONE THROUGH THE READSQUARED PORTAL, ON OUR LIBRARY WEBSITE, OR YOU CAN PICK UP A LINED JOURNAL OR GAME BOARD AT THE LIBRARY TO HELP YOU TRACK YOUR READING MINUTES.

Portland Library’s 2025 Adult Summer Reading Program

Level Up At Your Library: June 17th - August 28th!

On June 17th register for summer reading and receive a coupon for a free book (up to $2.00 in value) from the Friends’ Ongoing Book Sale & another coupon when you log 2000 pages.

We had 100 participants in 2024. Help us “Level Up” in 2025 to 150 participants!

For each participant who reads at least one book this summer (including audiobooks and graphic novels) the Friends of Portland Library will donate $3 towards two musical instrument rental scholarships for Brownstone Intermediate School students in 2025-26.

Thank you to the Friends of the Portland Library for sponsoring the Instrument Scholarships.
